Description
Leaves are alternate, pinnately arranged, consisting of five leaflets. Leaflets are ovate, sharp pointed, with toothed margins. Inflorescences are upright, racemes or panicles, with small whitish yellow, zygomorphic flowers. Male and female flowers are in separate inflorescences. Fruit is an orange-red, 3 sided and three-celled capsule, partially open when ripe, revealing 1-3 black or greenish seeds which are covered at the base with a white aril.
