Growing form
Perennial, achlorophyllous, heterotrophic parasite.
Size
15–25 cm high.
Stem
The stem is erect, stout and covered with scales.
Leaf
The leaves are reduced, scale-like.
Flower
The inflorescence is a scarce-pubescent raceme. The flowers are drooping, yellowish white. The calyx is narrow-campanulate, elongate and 15 mm long. The calyx and corolla are four- or five-leaved.
Fruit and seed
The capsules are erect. The rachis elongates after flowering.
