Growing form

Perennial herb.

Size

20–30 cm high.

Leaf

The rosette leaves overwinter. The leaves are rather thick and smooth. The petiole is longer than the lamina and not alate. The lamina is 2–5 cm long, orbicular to round-ovate, obtuse to short-acuminate.

Flower

The inflorescence is an erect raceme with drooping flowers. The calyx lobes are narrowly ovate and acuminate. The corolla is campanulate and white. The style is curved, red and 4–10 mm long.

Fruit and seed

The capsule is drooping.
