Size

3–10(–15) cm high.

Stem

The stem is leafless.

Leaf

The leaves form a rosette that lays flat against the ground. The leaves are typically 0.5–1.5 cm long, narrow at the base, lanceolate – obovate, moderately acute, entire and stellate above.

Flower

The plant often has many glabrate, afoliate scapes. The petals are 2–4 mm long, white and bifid with a deep sinus that reaches half-way into the petal.

Fruit and seed

The silicles are 4–7 mm long, long-stalked, elliptic-lanceolate, compressed and glabrous. The beak is very short.
