Cardamine bulbifera

Growing form

Perennial herb.

Size

20–80 cm high.

Stem

The stem is erect. The long, thick, horizontal rhizome bears turgid scale leaves.

Leaf

The leaf arrangement is spiral. The basal leaves are imparipinnate with 1–3 pairs of leaflets. The higher leaves are simple. The leaflets are serrate. There are blackish purple bulbils at the distal axils on the stem.

Flower

The inflorescence is nearly umbelliform. The petals are 12–20 mm long and reddish, pink or white.

Fruit and seed

The siliques are 3 cm long and typically do not develop.
