Description
Peat moss species. Forms loose carpets and small mounds. Medium sized and rather robust, stiff, and green or yellowish green, never with a reddish hint. Capitulum clearly five-parted (star-like) and with conspicuous apical bud, facicles usually with three branches, two of them divergent and one pendant.
