Description
The common flowerbug Anthoris nemorum belongs to the true bug family Anthocoridae. The species is common in Finland. The common flowerbug is 3.5-4.4 mm in length. Its head and pronotum are black and its forewings’ color varies in brown and pale shade patterns. Hairs of the forewings are short and smooth that makes the the wings shiny. Its legs are brown-orange and it has small dark patches near the tip of its femur. The species’ haustellum is thin and long, and species can also sting people.
