Sphagnum majus

Description

Peat moss species. Medium sized to robust, yellowish or brownish green or brown. Capitulum with curved, narrowly tapering branches with blunt tips, facicles with four branches, two of them somewhat divergent.

Size

10–30 cm.

Sporangium

Occasionally with capsules.
