Records of both E. gentianaeana and E. oblongana have the same COI mtDNA, which differs that of E. oblongana. The foodplant of E. oblongana abroad is Plantago lanceolata and not Knautia arvensis as in Finnish populations, which have been suspected to present E. oblongana. (M. Mutanen 2015). Therefore we consider only E. gentianaeana to be present in Finland. Note that the Red List category of E. gentianaeana has been changed VU as the E. oblongana records are united with it!
