Origin and general distribution
Ansarijauhiainen on yleinen ja laajalle levinnyt tuhohyönteinen koriste- ja puutarhakasveilla. Sen oletetaan olevan alun perin lähtöisin trooppisesta tai subtrooppisesta Amerikasta. Lajia on esiintynyt Suomessa jo 1920-luvulta lähtien. Laji selviää talvehtimalla kasvihuoneissa.
