Suomessa persikkakirva on kasvihuonetuholainen eikä se pysty talvehtimaan kasvihuoneen ulkopuolella johtuen lähinnä talvi-isäntäkasvien (persikka, Prunus persica) puutteesta. Muiden Prunus-suvun puiden (esim. luumun) merkitys talvi-isäntäkasveina on epäselvä.
