Origin and general distribution
Juurikasankeroinen on maailmanlaajuisesti levinnyt sokerijuurikkaan tuholainen. Suomen juurikaspelloilta on löydetty kahta kystoja muodostavaa juurikasankeroistyyppiä. Valkojuurikasankeroinen (Heterodera schachtii) on yleisin, ja keltajuurikasankeroista (Heterodera betae) esiintyy hyvin vähän. Suomessa valkojuurikasankeroinen on levinnyt juurikkaan viljelyalueille.
