Ihmepensas Codiaeum variegatum

Description

Branches are glabrous, with prominent leaf scars. Leaf blade is very variable in shape and color, sometimes divided to mid vein into upper and lower parts, 5-30 × 0.5-8 cm, thinly leathery, green, purple-red, and/or yellow, sometimes with colored spots or stripes of spots. Petiole is 0.2-2.5 cm. Inflorescences are 8-30 cm long,slender, axillary racemes. Male flowers are white; pedicels delicate; petals 5, smaller than sepals; disk glands 5; stamens 20-30. Female flowers have thickened pedicels, ovate-triangular sepals, recurved styles, and no petals or stamens. Capsule is subglobose, slightly flattened, glabrous, ca. 9 mm in diam. Seeds are ca. 6 mm.
