Opposite arrangement, leaves 2-10 cm long, broadly ovate, surfaces hairy, rounded or narrowed acute base and an acute or obtuse or sometimes acuminate tip, toothed margins

Flower

Purple, blue, pinkish or white, less than 6 mm across, arranged in close terminal flower-heads

Fruit and seed

Small, brown one-seeded achenes fruits
