Origin and general distribution
Thaimaanoravan alkuperäinen levinneisyys ulottuu Thaimaan, Myanmarin, Laosin, Kambotsan ja Vietnamin alueille. Lisäksi sitä tavataan vieraslajina Italiassa, Singaporessa, Filippiineillä ja Japanissa. Vieraslajipopulaatiot ovat saaneet alkunsa karanneista lemmikeistä.
