Growing form
Deciduous shrub.
Size

Stem
The branches are erect and the outermost branches are short and spreading.
Leaf
The petiole is 2–5 mm long. The lamina is 20–50 mm long, ovate – elliptic, acute, attenuate at the base, green and lustrous above, and sparse-pubescent beneath.
Flower
The inflorescence consists of 3–8 flowers. The calyx lobes are ciliate. The corolla has a campanulate appearance.
Fruit and seed
The fruit is 8–10 mm, black and contains three or four seeds.
