Growing form
Perennial herb.
Size
15–40 cm high.
Stem
The stem is erect, few-leaved and covered with glandular hairs. There are globose, pink bulbils at the base of the stem.
Leaf
The basal leaves form a rosette, and the cauline leaves are in a spiral arrangement on the lower half of the stem. The rosette leaves are petiolate, orbicular – reniform, coarsely crenate – repand, rather thick, and pubescent at least on the petiole. The cauline leaves are sessile and coarsely toothed.
Flower
The inflorescence is a lax panicle with 3–10 flowers. The calyx and corolla are five-leaved and actinomorphic. The sepals are covered with glandular hairs. The petals (9–16 mm) are white. The flowers are bisexual. In a flower, there are ten stamens and a two-leaved pistil where the carpels are connate only at the base.
Fruit and seed
The fruit is an ovoid, bi-locular capsule.
