Origin and general distribution
Aasiasta kotoisin olevan siperianpihdan levinneisyys on itäinen ja mantereinen, ulottuen laajalle alueelle Vienanmeren itäpuolelta aina Tyynelle valtamerelle asti. Etelä-Suomessa siperianpihtaa käytetään yleisesti koristepuuna ja siitä on jonkin verran viljelykarkulaisesiintymiä, eniten Etelä-Suomessa mutta myös Lapissa.
