Sukuun kuuluu noin 45 lajia, joista useimmat elävät Pohjois-Amerikassa. Muutamaa lajia tavataan Euraasiassa, ja niistä Euroopassa esiintyy vain okatytönkorento (Enallagma cyathigerum).
