Accepted name, Mammal Species of the World 2005

Recognized by Cabrera (1958) as the genus Burmeisteria Gray, which is preoccupied. The next available name is Calyptophractus, as pointed out by Wetzel (1985b); included under Chlamyphorus by Gardner (1993).
