Vain nokkoskirjolude (Scolopostethus thomsoni) on levinnyt koko Suomeen. Muut neljä lajia esiintyvät Suomen etelärannikolta korkeimmillaan Pohjois-Pohjanmaalle ja Kainuusen saakka.

Origin and general distribution

Suku on holarktinen eli se esiintyy pohjoisella pallonpuoliskolla sekä Euraasiassa että Pohjois-Amerikassa. Suomen viisi kirjoludelajia esiintyvät kaikki lähes koko Euroopassa ja idässä Keski-Aasiaan ja Länsi-Siperiaan saakka.
