Description

Leptopterna dolabrata belongs to the true bug family Miridae. It is 8.0-8.5 mm in length. Its antennae have long dark hairs. The species’ forewings are usually orange-yellow or reddish. Males are long-winged and females are short-winged.

Distribution in Finland

It is found throughout the country.

Behaviour

The species feeds on different grasses and is commonly found in grasslands, road sides and farmlands.
