Pohjois-Amerikassa esiintyy viisi suvun lajia, joista yhden levinneisyys yltää Etelä-Amerikkaan. Näiden lisäksi Euraasiassa on yksi laji, Suomessakin tavattava kääpiötytönkorento (Nehalennia speciosa).
