Distribution in Finland
Sorokimalaiset ovat melko yleisiä Etelä- ja Keski-Suomessa ja levinneisyysalue ulottuu eteläiseen Lappiin asti; pohjoisin löytö on Inarista.
Origin and general distribution
Sorokimalainen on paikoittain runsaslukuinen Keski-Euroopassa ja lajin levinneisyysalue ulottuu Atlantin rannikolta Siperiaan Baikal-järvelle saakka sekä Mongoliaan. Pohjoisimmat yksilöt on tavattu napapiirin pohjoispuolelta. Irlannista sorokimalaista ei ole löydetty ja Etelä-Euroopassa laji tavataan vain vuoristoissa.
