Voimakkaasti taantunut laji, joka on kuitenkin vielä melko yleinen. Tavataan lähes koko maassa. Pohjoisimmat havainnot ovat Nuortijärveltä, Ivalosta ja Lemmenjoelta

Origin and general distribution

Lajia tavataan Islantia lukuunottamatta kaikissa Pohjoismaissa. Ei tavata Atlantin itärannikolla eikä Välimeren alueella. Levinneisyysalue ulottuu Pohjois- ja Keski-Euroopasta laajalla rintamalla kautta Venäjän aina Tyynenmeren rannikkoseuduille asti.
