Origin and general distribution
Keltaperuna-ankeroinen on lähtöisin Andeilta Etelä-Amerikasta, mistä se on perunan viljelyn myötä levinnyt kaikkiin maanosiin. Suomessa keltaperuna-ankeroisen levinneisyysalue on laajempi kuin valkoperuna-ankeroisen, sillä se on Etelä-Suomen ja Hämeen perunaviljelmillä melko yleinen, mutta tärkeimmillä perunan viljely-alueilla Pohjanmaalla keltaperuna-ankeroista esiintyy hyvin vähän.
