Origin and general distribution
Meloidogyne-ankeroisten alkuperä on USA:ssa Columbia-joen alueella, josta lajin on levinnyt ympäri maailmaa. Euroopassa ensimmäinen havainto on Hollannista 1980-luvulla. Meloidogyne chitwoodi ja M.fallax -ankeroisia ei tiettävästi esiinny Suomessa.
