Eudorcashas been treated as a full genus as a result of cladistic analysis by Groves (2000b); may be sister taxon of Nanger, as shares translocation of an autosome to the Y chromosome (Vassart et al., 1995); genetically distinct according to Rebholz and Harley (1999).
