Orange jewelweed Impatiens capensis

Description

Like other jewelweeds (Impatiens), orange jewelweed, also called orange balsam, is an annual grass with succulent stalk. The fruit of the plant is a hut shape pod, which ruptures when ripe and shoots the seeds several metres away into the immediate environment. Jewelweeds regenerate and propagate only from seed. However, the number of seeds is abundant.
