Geraniaceae

Description

Mostly herbs with jointed stems. Stipulate leaves have palmate venation or are palmately or pinnately compound. The sepals are aristate (=the tip ends to a spine) and the androecium is obdiplostemonous (stamens of the outer whorl are opposite to petals). The ovary/fruit usually has a prominent beak.
