Description
The family Corvidae are strong-beaked birds of medium to large size, which includes jays (Garrulus), magpies (Pica), nutcrackers (Nucifraga), and crows (Corvus), among others. The genus Corvus includes ravens but, it is not clear, if jackdaws (Coloeus) are a sub-genus of genus Corvus or a genus in the family of Corvidae.
In Finland, the group of alien Corvidae does not include the Tropical Asian species house crow (Corvus splendens), which is included in the EU's list of alien species.
