African elodea (Curly waterweed) Lagarosiphon major

Description

African elodea (also known as curly waterweed) is a perennial, submerged aquatic plant that prefers the cool waters of the temperate zone. The species has been found in the wild in several European countries, but is only present in aquariums in Finland. It spreads effectively through stem and root fragments.
